Why Fast?

Jesus taught that “some things” are only accomplished by fasting & prayer.

Yes there are things God does that we never ask for, but there are also things we should seek and contend for within our own lives and the people around us — like Daniel did in the Old Testament.

🤔 If you claim to follow Jesus, why wouldn’t you want to pause distractions and invest 21 Days out of 365 days a year to seek His heart, presence, repent, and listen to what He may be saying?

How to get started

  • Option 1: A Liquid Fast (no foods, drink water only).

    Option 2: A Daniel Fast (no sweets, meat, dairy, or bread. Drink water & clean juices only).

    Option 3: Partial Fast (your regular diet apart from added sugars, sodas).

  • Option 1: 24/7

    Option 2: Sunup to sundown.

    Option 3: Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner (without snacking in between)

  • Put away two personal leisures that take the most focus away from your family and prayer during the entire 21 Days of Prayer.

    Example: All TV/Movies, All Social Media Apps, golfing, secular music, etc.

    • Join Evening Prayer at Christ Alive: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 6-8pm

    • Attend Family Nights: Every Wednesday at 7:00PM

    • Attend Sunday Pre-Serice Prayers: Every Sunday at 8:30AM

Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s we’ll meet at Christ Alive Church to Pray from 6-8PM. You can choose to come for 30 Minutes, 1 hour, or the full 2 hours.
